Amy Cintron – HR Manager
Originally from Geneseo, New York, I moved south in 2009 for warmer weather and new opportunities. I always knew that I wanted to help people, though I wasn’t sure what form that would take. It wasn’t until I moved to South Carolina that I considered Human Resources as a way to fulfill that goal. In my role as a HR Manager, I not only get to help employees on an individual level, but I also get to help make Sodoma Law one of the best places to work in the region.
I have worked in Human Resources since 2011. I have experience with many aspects of the Human Resource Manager portfolio, to include recruitment, onboarding, strategic thinking, planning and change management. My ability to strengthen the link between people and strategy, as well as manage, motivate and retain talent, has proven to be invaluable as Sodoma Law continues to grow and flourish.
In support of our team at Sodoma Law, I am also certified in both Employee Benefits and Foundations in Human Resources by the Employers Association. These certifications cover a wide array of critical knowledge including FMLA, talent acquisition, wage and hour legalities, and state and federal laws and regulations. I am also an active member of prominent HR organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) both on the national and local level and The Employers Association.
I have always had a passion for giving back to my community. Charlotte has been no exception. Finding a company that embraces the same values of community, kindness, hard-work and honesty has always been important to me. It was all of these qualities and more that made Sodoma Law perfect for me and the qualities I look for in every candidate I interview. Not only do the lawyers boast a fearless record of compassion and tenacity in the courtroom, but they also carry that thirst for taking care of their communities. We like to call it living “The Sodoma Way.”
