Bonnie Carter, SHRM-CP – Human Resources Manager
Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, I completed my Bachelor of Art in Spanish Language and Culture Studies at UNC-Charlotte. After undergrad, I set out to get real world practice with the Spanish language and serve my community. I started volunteering at a local immigrant-focused non-profit organization as an Instructor for an English as a Second Language class for adult students who were applying for naturalization. Though it was a different area of law, it was in this context that I first got to see attorneys in action, acting as advocates for their clients.
After spending 11 years in the non-profit sector, whose work directly impacts the community we live in, I wanted to make sure my next career step was one that continued to have an impact. That’s what we do at Sodoma Law, advocate for the best outcome for our clients. Our work has a human impact.
Our team is smart, creative, resourceful, compassionate, and committed to serving our clients. As Human Resources Manager, I view our people as our most valuable resource. I make sure our staff have a voice, are listened to, given access to training and development, and have all the tools they need so that they can continue to do what they love – help people.
