Growing up as the daughter of immigrants, I saw firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate legal systems, especially for families facing language or cultural barriers. The experience inspired me to use my skills and bilingual fluency in Spanish and English to guide and advocate for families in need, whether they’re facing complex immigration issues or family law matters like custody and divorce.

Before pursuing law school, I attended Mars Hill University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Spanish and International Studies. I also volunteered with grassroots organizations, helping working-class families get back on their feet. Not only did my work in the community deepen my understanding of the struggles families face, but it also instilled a lifelong commitment to service and advocacy.

I carried that commitment with me to Elon University School of Law, where I graduated with Pro Bono distinction for dedicating my time to underserved communities, focusing on children experiencing hunger and trauma and immigrant families in Charlotte through asylum clinics. During law school, I gained hands-on experience with the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy’s Immigrant Justice Program where I assisted families with removal defense and prepared legal documents for asylum and juvenile cases. I also worked with the Elon Law Humanitarian Immigration Clinic, where I supported clients in applying for federal benefits, including family reunification. Recognizing the importance of empathy, patience, and clear communication, continue to guide my work as a family law attorney.

As part of Sodoma Law, I look forward to serving families during their most difficult transitions. My personal goal is always to make clients feel heard and supported. My professional goal is to provide compassionate guidance for the best possible outcomes.
