As a first-generation lawyer, I’m honored to serve my clients with compassion, dedication, and expertise. I am the oldest child of immigrants from Kenya and Uganda who dedicated their lives to making sure that I had every opportunity to become the lawyer that I am now. Originally from Southern California, my background has greatly influenced the way I approach my work as an attorney. I grew up in a diverse community that greatly influenced my passion towards helping others and giving back to the place I call home, whether it was in California then, or North Carolina now.
I chose to focus on family law because I have always wanted to be a voice for others, especially in times of uncertainty. Whether it's helping a family navigate a difficult divorce, advocating for children’s rights, or guiding clients through custody disputes, I find it incredibly rewarding to help individuals and families protect what matters most to them.
During law school, I was deeply involved in a number of initiatives that shaped my commitment to justice, community service, and family law. I was a founding member of We the People: Elon Law's Constitutional Law Journal, and also spent a summer participating in a legal intensive program in Den Haag, Netherlands. I served as a board member for the Innocence Project, where I worked alongside other dedicated students and attorneys to help wrongfully convicted individuals seek justice. I volunteered with the Elon Law Humanitarian Immigration Clinic, offering legal assistance to those navigating the often complex and challenging immigration system. I also had the privilege of serving as a Teen Court Judge, which gave me the opportunity to mentor young people and help them understand the importance of accountability in a supportive, rehabilitative environment.
These experiences not only strengthened my legal skills but also reinforced my passion for advocacy, particularly in family law. I understand that legal matters in this area are often highly personal, and I approach each case with the care and attention it deserves.
I am committed to providing practical, thoughtful legal counsel to my clients. I know that family law matters can be emotional and overwhelming, so I prioritize being a calm, supportive presence throughout the process. I work diligently to ensure that my clients’ voices are heard and that they are empowered to make decisions that are in their best interests.
Outside of my practice, I am deeply involved in my community. Volunteering has always been an essential part of my life, and I dedicate time to various local organizations that support families and individuals in need. Whether it's offering pro bono legal services or contributing to community initiatives, I believe in the power of giving back and strengthening the bonds that hold us together.
If you’re facing a family law matter and need someone who understands both the legal complexities and the personal significance of these issues, I’m here to help. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, and together, we’ll work toward a resolution that aligns with your needs and values.
