Sodoma Law is proud to announce that Managing Principal Nicole Sodoma and three of the firm’s attorneys, from across locations and practice areas, received awards of excellence from Super Lawyers Magazine for 2018. Congratulations to Sodoma Law Union Principal and Attorney Penelope Hefner, and Sodoma Law Attorney Theresa Viera for their recognition as Rising Stars in Family Law, and to Sodoma Law Attorney John Woodman for his recognition as a Rising Star in Bankruptcy Law. In Family Law, Ms. Sodoma was named a Super Lawyer for 2018. Additional congratulations are in order for Nicole Sodoma, Penelope Hefner, and John Woodman, all of whom received awards of excellence from Business North Carolina for 2018. Since 2002, Business North Carolina (BNC) magazine has honored Tar Heel lawyers by publishing Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite, a listing of the state’s top lawyers in business-related categories. Winners are chosen not by BNC editors but by the state’s lawyers. “I am honored by this recognition by my peers, but more importantly, I am so pleased to see my colleagues recognized for their compassionate, tenacious advocacy for our clients,” said Nicole Sodoma, Managing Principal, Sodoma Law. “All have contributed so much to our firm and communities: Penelope Hefner leads our Union County office; Theresa Viera’s work with families, especially those impacted by domestic violence, has been extraordinary; and John Woodman helps business owners protect what they’ve worked so hard to build.” Super Lawyers Magazine, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multi-phase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.
